Department of Medical Biotechnology
The Department of Medical Biotechnology is a fundamental scientific unit within the university's organizational structure. A university cannot fulfill its scientific mission or achieve its goals without academic departments. Thus, the Department of Medical Biotechnology strives to have distinctive characteristics and lofty goals by precisely and faithfully applying the laws, instructions, and regulations of the Ministry. This approach positively reflects on the department's outputs, producing specialized personnel with high skills who actively contribute to building and advancing Iraqi society in various medical, environmental, and pharmaceutical fields.
Since its establishment in the academic year 2012-2013, the department has been welcoming students and striving to provide all the requirements for academic excellence and success. This is achieved by offering a team of specialists with diverse scientific titles and disciplines, who work diligently and carefully to enhance the academic level of the department's students, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition to developing university teaching methods and advanced scientific research, the department equips classrooms and educational laboratories with the latest devices and equipment to deliver scientific information accurately, both theoretically and practically. Furthermore, a specialized research laboratory for postgraduate students has been established, equipped with the latest devices.
